Summit Day

Showtime!

The Future Building and Infrastructure Summit (FBIS) is not your typical conference. It is a catalyst for change.

Since 2018, Lean Construction Australia & New Zealand (LCANZ), has delivered FBIS five times, creating the leading forum in Australia and New Zealand focused on how construction productivity is actually improved.

In 2026, FBIS returns to Melbourne for the first time since 2020, bringing together senior leaders, practitioners, academics, and innovators to address one of the industry’s most pressing challenges: how to deliver complex infrastructure more reliably, sustainably, and humanely.

Training Day:

This Summit is about shifting thinking. The Training Day is where that thinking turns into capability.

On Tuesday 11th August 2026, FBIS offers a curated series of practical, hands-on training sessions designed to help participants apply Lean, digital delivery and better decision-making methods in real project environments.

Delivered by industry leaders, each session focuses on what actually works on projects—not theory. Participants can select individual courses aligned to their role, challenges and interests, with sessions structured to provide practical insight that can be applied immediately.

Why Attend?

  • Move beyond ideas to application
Learn how leading teams are improving planning, coordination and delivery performance in practice

  • Build capability that sticks
Small group sessions designed for real engagement—not passive listening

  • Learn from practitioners
Delivered by people actively shaping how projects are delivered across the industry

What's on offer?

The program includes a range of focused sessions covering:

  • Lean construction foundations and production systems

  • Better decision-making and value-based delivery

  • Digital engineering and BIM for leaders

  • Planning, coordination and workflow reliability

Each course is delivered as a standalone session, allowing you to tailor your learning to what matters most.

How it works

  • Held at The Glasshouse, Melbourne

  • Courses run as add-ons to the main Summit ticket

  • Participants select individual sessions aligned to their role and interests

  • Places are limited to maintain a high-quality learning experience

Take the next step

If the Summit challenges how you think, the Training Day helps you change how you work.
